INSTAGRAM WEEK IN REVIEW
hello, lovelies, testing a new feature I’ll be doing once a week—all the pictorial goodness you may have missed if you don’t follow me on Instagram! this week’s highlights: from Venice and the SAG Awards to New York for a chic Indian wedding… and all the beauty products I used in between!
there are two ways to live your life. one is as though nothing is a miracle. the other is as everything is.
-Albert Einstein. smart man. ^_^
but, seriously, it is so easy to get jaded in the fashion world (or regular world). I see it all the time, at every level. assistants or interns who start feeling entitled… senior editors who start adopting a “don’t you know who I am...

Bryanboy + Adrienne Landau = chic
swung by my darling Bryan’s preview for his collection with Adrienne Landau. he designed the slouchy fuzzy hat I’m wearing and the neon scarf… so chic, right? I think I was meant to own them because they go with my Opening Ceremony bomber (new from Matches!) and Pierre Hardy sneakers.
see the rest of the collection by clicking through (and another absurd shot of me &...
oh, I love a wedding
especially an Indian one! especially ones that have on-site henna artists! my nail color of choice for the wedding was Jin Soon’s Risque shade, a rouge noir that’s classic (but chic). her polishes, by the way, are absurdly long-lasting. I highly recommend them!

gold-dust2012 asked: Hi eva! so i've stalked you everywhere Instagram, Twitter and Here trying to get a glimpse into what you're doing next. I know you have moved part time to LA (Congratulations) and are doing a whole bunch of articles for other magazines. I also saw something about a new website (AMEN!!) I just wanted to ask what you are doing now and how has your career changed after Teen Vogue?

BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY
rather, big girls shouldn’t cry if they’re lucky enough to own Balenciaga’s crazy-sold-out cut-out moto boots. but, honestly, the first time I wore them my feet got so torn up that I couldn’t even look at the shoes for a month. in any case, last week I finally toughened up and wore them (avec tights), a Topshop bubble skirt, Proenza Schouler turtleneck, and 982...

mixing prints: a primer
if you love mixing prints (and, oh boy, do I), the key is to have their general color-schemes match up… and having them both be from Kenzo doesn’t hurt either ^_^

simplyailin asked: Dear Eva, lately I've been doubting about going into the magazine industry despite majoring in Journalism and having a head position of an Ed2010 club, writer for a fashion blog, etc. I feel like its a cut-throat, almost backstabbing and extremely shallow industry. I have wanted to write for magazines since my mom gave me my first Teen Vogue subscription at age 13. Am I wrong for what i am...

red carpet roundup: SAG Awards
darlings, I had the incredible experience of being on the red carpet for the first time ever this Sunday as a guest of L’Oreal Paris. it’s hard to explain the experience—to be out-numbered by celebrities (oh, hey, Bradley Cooper! oh, hi, cast of Glee!) was definitely surreal. the main thing I learned, really, is that stars are just like us—except perfectly coiffed and maintained....

everyone should look like this at awards shows
by “this”, I mean model Barbara Palvin, who looked incandescently and just ridiculously gorgeous at the Golden Globes. now, those of you who follow me on twitter, know about my obsession with awards shows. I live for them and, yes, live-tweet them exhaustively until my fingers get crampy and sore. so…big announcement… the Screen Actor’s Guild awards are just 48...
